The NOVA G3 comet II reversible chuck is designed exclusively for use with the NOVA comet II midi lathe. It's light weight, and with less overhang which is perfect for smaller lathe spindles. The small 1.79 In. body length delivers less overhang from the spindle than the larger geared chucks - the supernova2 chuck and the NOVA titan chuck, reducing stress on the smaller lathe spindle. This version of the G3 chuck comes with a anti-release spindle lock that ensures the chuck will stay securely mounted on the comet II midi lathe during the forward and reverse functions.
